From comprehensive animal care and rehabilitation for up to 5,000 animals, to the meticulous fabrication of intricate habitats and the production of 15,000 gallons of salt water monthly, the Center fosters continued excellence and increased efficiency.

Our May 22 tour will cover:
  • Unique design challenges and material selections
  • Design of emergency power systems
  • Life safety and environmental concerns
  • Importance of teamwork throughout design and construction

Attendees will be awarded 1 PDH credit for this tour.

Our Speakers:
Beau Whitney, a principal at Kovacs Whitney and the MEP engineer for this project, has worked for decades with the Aquarium and will be presenting to our group. He will be joined by Andy Aiken, an engineer at the National Aquarium. Andy specializes in designing Life Support (water systems for fish).
